A visa is the authorization granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to a foreigner to enter the national territory. There are three types of visas in Colombia, these visas vary according to the purpose of the visit and the length of stay in the country.
Due to the agreements signed by Colombia, citizens of more than ninety countries, called "foreigners of unrestricted nationalities", do not require a visa to enter Colombia as visitors, nor do they need to carry out prior procedures before the Colombian authorities.
In the case of visa applications for employees of foreign origin, the type M Visa - Migrant as a worker - applies to enter and/or remain in the national territory with the intention of settling in Colombia. This visa is valid for up to 3 years.
