With meetings in major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou, this mission focuses on the infrastructure, technology, life sciences, value-added manufacturing and logistics sectors, where the Asian country has shown a growing interest.
Currently, 3.6% of foreign direct investment projects in Bogota-Region come from China, which consolidates this country as the most important Asian trading partner for Colombia. Between 2020 and 2023, Chinese foreign direct investment (FDI) grew by an impressive 138 %, from US$64.2 million to more than US$152.5 million, marking a sustained growth trend.
During this trade mission, Invest in Bogota will hold meetings with 19 Chinese companies, representing key sectors for the growth of the Colombian capital. This event is expected to be attended by more than 50 Chinese companies interested in learning about the investment facilities and strategic advantages of the city and its metropolitan region.
