Among the most ambitious projects is the reactivation of the Belencito-Bogotá rail corridor and its connection with the Caribbean Coast, together with the development of a medium-speed train. These initiatives, which represent an investment of COP$7.6 billion, seek to turn Boyacá into a metal-mechanical railroad cluster of national relevance.
In addition, the portfolio includes the transformation of the Sogamoso airport into an international cargo terminal, with an investment of COP$60 billion, which will strengthen the department's logistical connectivity, making it a strategic alternative to Bogotá's El Dorado airport.
With additional projects in agribusiness (COP$379 billion) and tourism (COP$281 billion). Boyacá is positioned as an attractive destination for foreign investment, presenting opportunities for sustainable development and employment generation.
Gheidy Gallo, president of Pro Boyacá, highlighted the relevance of this international mission, stating, “Today we have crossed borders to show the investment opportunities that Boyacá has to offer the world.”
This presentation is an important achievement for the department, which aims to become a benchmark for economic growth and sustainability in Colombia, capturing the attention of foreign investors in key sectors for its development.
