Invest in Bogota, the Colombian capital's investment promotion agency, highlights key sectors of the regional economy that offer investment opportunities for national and international companies.

These include Knowledge Intensive Services, Smart Infrastructure and Value Added Manufacturing, ranging from health services and information technologies to renewable energies and medical devices.

One of the key aspects to facilitate investment in the region has been the process of obtaining permits and licenses. Invest in Bogota has worked on the availability of key and centralized information, as well as on the implementation of advanced electronic platforms that simplify and expedite the management of procedures, thus ensuring accessibility for investors.

The Single Window of Investment VUI has been a significant pillar of Invest in Bogota's strategy, optimizing and streamlining administrative and regulatory processes related to investment in the region. This approach seeks to eliminate duplicity, discretionality and corruption, while providing clear and up-to-date information on the requirements and benefits available to investors, thus promoting transparency and facilitating informed decision-making.

However, Invest in Bogota recognizes that there are still opportunities for improvement to face future challenges, and for this purpose, they have initiatives to improve the business climate, where they carry out projects aligned with those elements that may be affecting the accounts. One of them is employability and closing gaps, in which, based on research methodologies, articulations with strategic actors and clear project lines, they seek to support the business fabric with these elements that may be a challenge for them.  

Invest In Bogota's achievements have been recognized internationally, with awards such as the best promotion agency in a developing country by the World Bank Group and the best regional investment agency in South America by Site Selection. In addition, in 2023, the Corporation was awarded the "International Fintech Ecosystem Catalyst" prize in Madrid.
